Trackview is a software used by participants in the international OLC (Online Competition) of the hangglider and paraglider pilots. Trackview has been developed to extend the functionality of our GPS software Backtrack. Support for OLC files was not possible (well not desirable) in Backtrack for technical reasons. While Backtrack is a commercial product, Trackview is free of charge. With Trackview you can download tracks from a GPS and save the track in a digitally signed IGC file as required by the OLC. These files can be submitted to the national or international OLC. Trackview also calculates the best possible task for the given track, according to the official competition rules. Additional to the IGC file an OLC file is generated, this file is used to fill in the online flight claim form on the OLC server.

Currently the program is available in German, English and French.

Installation(Windows, Linux see here.:
Use Winzip or a similar software to unzip the downloaded file and copy the executable trackview.exe and the documentation to a directory of your choice. Usually the this is a directory under the path C:\\program files\'. We recommend to use 'C:\\program files\softtoys\trackview'. You can now launch the program with a double-click. It's best to create a short cut to the trackview.exe file on your desktop or in the 'Start' menu.

This software can also be copied to a 3 1/2 Floppy disk (yes they still exist :-) and run from there without an installation.
